The Airport Express bus departs from the front of the main terminal building. The bus drives an express route that only takes 25 minutes (depending on traffic, 30–40 minutes in rush hours) to Bergen downtown. The bus stop “Torget” is closest to most hotels. Tickets can be bought at a machine at the bus stop, cash onboard, or pre-ordered online. If you pre-order a return ticket, the total price is 309 NOK; if you buy single tickets onboard, each ticket is 179 NOK. Check prices and timetables hereThis is the recommended option.

There is a Bergen Light Rail stop in the underground of the airport terminal. Departure is every 5 minutes in rush hours, otherwise every 10 min. The trip to downtown takes ca. 55 min, and the last stop (“Byparken” is closest to most hotels). Tickets cost 44 NOK. Tickets for the Light Rail can be bought using the Skyss app, or using a credit card from the ticket machines in the baggage claim area or at the platform. Cash is not accepted.
